Macquariedale Estate is located in the Lower Hunter Valley on a site guarded by the maternal Brokenback Range. The Estate grows both the traditional Hunter Varieties of Shiraz, Semillon, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay as well as the more contemporary variety of Merlot. Medal winning certified biodynamic wines are produced from the excellent red soils on the estate.

2008 Chardonnay  The 2008 vintage was an early ripening year in the Hunter. The wine shows a crisp, clean and long palate with a well developed tropical fruit bouquet. Minimal French oak maturation has added to the complexity. Excellent companion to chicken and pasta dishes.
